A team of 25 intrepid runners from Stephenson Smart are limbering up to defend a title.

The group of budding athletes from the King’s Lynn, Fakenham and Great Yarmouth offices won the Corporate Challenge during last year’s GEAR 10K, which takes place in King’s Lynn.

During the 2020 corporate race launch on Tuesday, five of the team – Harriett Wilkinson, Paul Richardson, Emily Brown, Neil Gayton and Andy Doyle, had a sneak peak of their latest competition, before the run on May 3rd.

Sponsored by Bespak, the challenge will see each team start and finish at King’s Lynn’s Tuesday Market Place, with the course taking in sights such as Custom House and Greyfriars Tower.

Andy Doyle, IT Manager at Stephenson Smart said: “We are all really excited to defend our 2019 title and we are hoping we have got what it takes to retain it!

“There’s 25 of us this year, which is our largest contingent to date, so there’s a lot of camaraderie and team spirit to get us through the course.”

The GEAR 10K also attracts thousands of solo runners from across Norfolk and beyond.
