We never rest on our laurels and we understand that all clients have different needs, depending on which sector you operate in.
At Stephenson Smart we know it is essential for us to stay in touch with all new regulations, and we make it our mission to gain any qualifications needed to be able to act on your behalf.
A great example of this is our experience with ATOL.
We began working closely with clients who hold ATOL certificates about five years ago, assisting them with their annual ATOL certificate renewals with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
The reporting rules changed in 2015, meaning that the renewals needed to be signed off by a CAA registered accountant named an Atol Reporting Accountant (ARA).
We wanted to be in a position to be able to support our clients in the best way possible, so our director Martyn Benstead and manager Mike Rowles completed and passed the CAA online training course and Martyn registered to become an ARA.
He was one of the first accountants in the entire country to hold the qualification and the first registered ARA in Norfolk.
Martyn and Mike now have nearly three years of experience completing both annual renewals and assisting with quarterly returns as ARA’s.
Any client or prospective client in the travel industry with an ATOL can feel secure in the knowledge that we know exactly how to meet your needs.
