How Stephenson Smart support Honeyguide Wildlife Holidays with their ATOL reporting
In 2015 reporting rules changed for ATOL registered businesses, meaning that their annual renewals needed to be signed off by an ATOL Reporting Accountant (ARA).
At Stephenson Smart, we wanted to be able to be able to support our clients in the best way possible, so our partner, Martyn Benstead and manager, Mike Rowles completed and passed the CAA training course to become ATOL Reporting Accountants.
One client that we support is Chris Durdin of Honeyguide Wildlife Holidays, based in Norwich.
Chris says: “My business is in its 31st season but has changed hugely over the last year with my last overseas trip being in March 2020. However, I am continuing to offer local trips, when restrictions allow, and Stephenson Smart have been kindly organising the government support I am entitled to.
Mike is very easy to talk to; I feel comfortable picking up the phone to him and know he will give me wise advice. I could not do without Stephenson Smart, to be honest. I trust them to get my figures and returns right and take the hassle away from me, so that I can focus on looking after my business and clients.
The annual ATOL renewal is complicated, and the numbers needed are not always obvious, but Mike always finds them quickly for me, he is confident and has good knowledge. I also have excellent support from the payroll team. Everything is done smoothly, I am appreciative of a job well done.”
