Gorleston Chartered Accountants – Stephenson Smart

Stephenson Smart accountants opened their East Coast office at Beacon Park in Gorleston, Great Yarmouth in 2015. The office covers Gorleston, Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft and Waveney.

The team there include partner, Henry Pettit BA ACA CTA , Associate Director, Alex Salmon ACA and Managers Marie Ayers FCCA, Jake Groom FCCA and Zoe Taylor MCIPPdip.

Henry Pettitt BA ACA CTA acts for a wide variety of clients in all sectors and has experience in delivering a broad range of services including advising on inheritance tax and succession planning, tax compliance and the maximisation of capital gains tax reliefs.

Alex Salmon ACA looks after hundreds of clients in a broad range of industries ranging from local start-ups to established owner-managed companies. As well as the accountancy side, the advice Alex undertakes covers both personal and corporate tax, VAT and CIS.

Marie Ayers FCCA joined Stephenson Smart in 2019 as a fully qualified accountant. She supports various types of clients with their annual accounts and tax returns.

Jake Groom FCCA studied for his ACCA qualification with a Lowestoft based firm and qualified in 2016, becoming a client manager soon after. Jake specialises in smaller, owner-managed companies stretching across many sectors including construction, farming and legal services.

Zoe Taylor MCIPPdip spent two-and-a-half years working at a Norwich accountancy firm whilst completing her AAT level 2 and 3. Since joining Stephenson Smart, Zoe has completed the Foundation Degree in Payroll Management with the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP), enabling her to become a full member. Zoe is now looking towards becoming a chartered member of the CIPP. A key part of Zoe’s role is to help implement new processes and ideas within the expanding payroll department.
