Senior Administration Officer (HRM and Facilities) – King’s Lynn

Are you an organised professional looking for a new challenge supporting the Practice Manager in all areas relating to HRM, facilities management and general administration?

Are you also keen to work in a forward-thinking accountancy firm with over 100 staff and more than 4,500 clients, located in multiple offices in Norfolk and Cambridgeshire?  Being based in a friendly internal support services team at you will become an integral part of the team. As the senior administration officer with oversight of HRM and facilities management you will be happy to roll up your sleeves and get fully involved in this varied, enjoyable and challenging role.

Reporting to the practice manager, but working closely with our finance administrators, marketing and IT support services, you will be involved in a number of employee aspects within the company. This includes assisting with the hiring process, onboarding new employees, managing employee’s personal and training records and help facilitate open internal communication across the organisation. You will have oversight of health and safety and assist the practice manager in ensuring our historic offices in Kings Lynn are kept in good order. A critical part of the role will include providing administrative support to our trainees and apprentices. This will involve developing good working relationships with our trainee providers and the ICAEW. It is not necessary for you to be a qualified accountant to fulfil this element of the role.

To be considered for this role it is likely you will have previously held a senior administrative position with a strong focus on HRM. You should possess good verbal and written communication skills and a professional telephone manner. You will be instrumental in supporting the practice manager and be capable of deputising in her absence. You must also be able to work to tight deadline and be committed to providing high levels of service to your internal customers.

This role would ideally suit applicants with a strong employment history with a similar sized organisation in the services sector.  You may hold a business administration and/or HRM qualification and be eager to develop your skills and capabilities further through relevant CPD. You should demonstrate good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and be comfortable adopting new technologies and processes. The Firm has recently made a significant investment in its IT capability and plans to enhance its internal processes and communications using mobile and cloud-based technology. You will be challenged with acquiring and maintaining an excellent working knowledge of the IT systems as well as being involved in future projects relating to employee engagement and retention.
