Being based in a friendly team at King’s Lynn you will work closely with a Partner who will provide ongoing mentoring and support. In this senior role you will be responsible for your own portfolio of clients and receive excellent exposure to a range of businesses including agriculture, construction, hospitality, insurance, manufacturing, freight and haulage amongst others.

What does an Accounts Manager role involve?

As an Accounts Manager for Stephenson-Smart you will be committed to being part of the wider firm, be ambitious and enjoy the challenge that comes with change. You will be a key part of the Audit/Accounts team and will be responsible for the smooth running of any professional work associated with a wide range of clients that will include audit and other clients. You will be responsible for jointly managing a team of 10-12 people and will be responsible for the development of junior members of the team. Therefore, you must be a role model at all times. You will actively get involved in many aspects of working as part of a team to deliver business success

To be considered for this role you may be a newly qualified (ACA/ACCA/CTA) looking for your first senior position. Alternatively, you may be a suitably qualified Manager currently employed in a similar position in a small, good quality practice firm, but looking to upgrade to a larger firm with a more established team.

Working alongside other Managers you will control any work required on a range of audit and non-audit accounts assignments meeting all internal, client based and legislative deadlines on an annual basis.

You will plan and review work to be undertaken on client matters by members of your team and you will be responsible for its review and progress through the Firm.

You will be a high level advocate of the Firm’s standard processes ensuring they are used in the production of audit and accounts work in all aspects and for ensuring that technical standards are maintained with the ability to answer technical questions proficiently and confidently.

Within this role you will be expected to supervise, develop and assist more junior members of the team giving constructive feedback on their performance.

The Firm has recently announced significant investment in its IT capability, particularly in areas of accounts production. You will be challenged with acquiring and maintain an excellent working knowledge of the systems that you will be required to use to undertake your role and be instrumental in ensuring the new system is implemented and fully adopted across the members of your team.

You will have the capability to professionally represent the Firm and its interests in dealings with clients and other professionals at all times.
